Jason McElwain, The Most Touching Sports Story…EVER!

Jason McElwain is a 17 year old guy who attends high school in Greece New York. Jason
is a key player on the basketball team, but had never actually got any playing time. Instead
he spent his time keeping the stats, running the clock, and handing out water bottles.

Jason’s Autism kept him sidelined throughout the year, but those on the team still consider
him a member……even though he didn’t actually play.

Well, the other day, during the last game of the season, Jason got his chance. With just 4
minutes left in the game, the coach decided to put Jason in the game. The crowd went nuts…
I mean, they were freaking out. Most of the people in the audience had pictures of Jason on
a stick and they waived them back and forth like madness.

However, what happened next was absolutely mind boggling. In fact, I think it’s the best
sports moment in all of history. It was even more impressive then the Miracle on Ice
hockey game when the USA beat the unbeatable Russian Team.

Jason’s first shot bricked hard. It was a total air ball. But Jason didn’t give up. His next
shot, well, it bombed too. But what happened next was insane.

Bam, Jason nails a 3 pointer. Almost every person in the building jumped 3 feet high in
excitement. The gymnasium was going NUTS. I’ve never seen anything like it. But it
was far from over. Jason nailed another shot from downtown…..and then another, and
another, and another.

When it was all said and done, Jason had scored 20 points in just 4 minutes. At that pace,
the dude could of beat Wilt’s 100 point game. The crowd was freaking out, and rightfully
so. To be honest, seeing the news story made me cry. It was that moving. Then I saw the
story again on another channel. Again, I wept a tear of enjoyment for the guy.

Seeing how elated the crowd got was something else. I wish i could of been there. It truly
was the best sports moment I’ve ever seen, and I’m a sports nut.

As Jason said, he was “HOTTER THEN A PISTOL”.

If you haven’t had a chance to see this amazing story, please check it out. Everyone
needs to see the story of Jason McElwain

US Supreme Court is Cool With Hallucinegenic Drugs…Woohoo for DMT!

Haha,

The United States Supreme Court is cool with DMT (dimethyltryptamine)!

Wow, I would of bet the farm that the high court would of shot down this ruling
in a hot-minute. Apparantly I’m not so good at gambling anymore. See last weeks
blog post :-)

Read the story here about how a faith called O Centro Espirita Beneficiente Uniao do Vegetal is partying down at church. Can I join?

Roberts, in writing the opinion for the court, said the government had failed to prove that federal drug laws should outweigh the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which Congress passed in 1993 to prohibit burdening a person’s exercise of religion.

The Bush administration had argued that the drug in the tea not only violates a federal narcotics law but a treaty in which the United States promised to block the importation of drugs including dimethyltryptamine, also known as DMT.

Religious groups of various faiths, along with civil liberties organizations, filed friend-of-the-court briefs supporting the sect. “This is just one step in the right direction in the fight for religious liberty,” said Jared Leland, legal counsel for The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty in Washington.

Well, this gives me a great idea.

We need to start a Church, and create some FUN TEA concoctions every Sunday so we can getCLOSER TO JESUS. There’s a nice patch of Aminita Muscaria growing in the park down the street from my house. That would probably get the whole congregation tripping for a few days.

Amen Supreme Court… I didn’t think you had it in you.

USP’s & Seperating Yourself From the Average Copy-Crowd

Every time that I speak with Shaune Clarke I come away with more profitable Gold Nuggets. This dude is a “Natural-Born-Salesman”. How I got so lucky to stumble across his copywriting coaching program is beyond me. If I’m this excited on week 2, just imagine what week 10 is going to be like?

This week our group worked on differentiating ourselves from other copywriters and developing USP’s. Personally I could choose about 10 different angles for a USP, but finding the very best one is the challenge.

Shaune has been digging into our persona’s so he can help extract the crucial elements that will define our USP. Luckily for me, there are tons of routes I could choose. However, I’m not rushing to judgement on anything. I’ll let the course play out, and the USP will appropriately fall into my lap. There’s lot’s of opportunity for “Profit Moffatt” to be unique, there is no question of that.

My desire to learn copy stemmed from wanting to increase sales on my existing Underachiever websites. It was never really my intention to start writing copy for other people. But when the offers come in, it’s tough to turn them down.

I never realized it before, but people really do want “Profit Moffatt Copy”. Marketers salivate at the type of buzz I’m able to create. My email box is filled with dozens of people who are baffled at how my sophmoric idiocy gains response.

They want to know……. “How did you do it”?

The answer is simple. I was just being myself. I understand that sometimes I may need to tone things down a bit for certain projects, but for the most part, being myself has been the biggest reason for my success online. If I were offering monotonous, bland, and “SAFE” copy, no one would know my name.

I’d like to thank Shaune for kicking me in the ass and forcing me to realize that my “Persona” is a very valuable asset. While I might not resonate with a Morgan Stanley Broker, I’ll sure as hell be received well by the South Park fans. I’d rather write cartoon stuff then financial advice anyways.

Why Gambling On The Super-Bowl Is a Bad Move.

Hey folks,

Last week I made a bet with the owner of the blog I’m Rich Bitch (Rappin Matt). I bet him $20 that the Seattle Seahawks would beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, but’s that’s not all. Somehow I got duped into saying I would “KISS” my own ass on my blog if I lost.

Now we all know the Seahawks got totally robbed by the refs. However, I’m a man who pay’s his debts (What’s your Paypal address Beyotch?). Please don’t watch the video if your offended by the Gluteus Maximus or Plumber’s Licenses.

Shaune Clarke Grills Us On Writing With Empathy

Wow,

What and eye-opening call! The first week of Shaune Clarke’s Copywriting Program was much more then I expected….and I expected A LOT.

I’ve come to know Shaune quite well during the last 2 months. However, I had no idea he was this good. His focus on copy was “laser-targeted” and his knowledge was very apparant. Every word that he spoke, flowed like a beautiful river. Saying I was impressed would be a understatement. I was blown away!

I can’t wait for the next lesson…..and the other 8 lessons after that. It really was that good.

Having a great group of students has made the coaching program even better. The mixture of folks participating is diverse, funny, and witty. I’m really happy to embark on this learning process with others. I’m confident we will push each other in a very beneficial way while fulfilling our goals.

This week we practiced writing with “Empathy”. This is something I definitely need to work on. The power behind writing with empathy is so crucial, and Shaune teaches this very well. Teaching comes very naturally to Shaune, and it shows in his class.

The biggest bonus about Shaune’s coaching program has to be the fact that he routinely questions you. When he says “INTERACTIVE”, he means it. Get ready for questions galore when you participate in this group. At first they don’t seem like hard questions, but when you really dig deep, it’s amazing how hard the simplest of things are.

For instance, most of the group seemed to have a hard time analyzing feelings about copy. Most of us were stuck in “thinking” mode, as opposed to letting our emotions do the work for us. As aspiring copywriters many of us are focusing on the actual words on paper and not paying attention to the “FEELING” of those words. Developing the ability to really feel someone’s writing is much tougher then it sounds.

After 2 hours, it was obvious that most of the group had to strip themselves of their opinions and the analytical thought process. If this was to work, we would need to tap into a different part of our psyche. Luckily it seemed that the group was able to overcome some old habits and start seeing the bigger picture of feelings and empathy.

It definitely was a lot of work, and much harder then I had imagined. The program really was thrilling! The last thing I wanted was some simple cookie-cutter class that taught the basics of copy. This is way beyond any some rookie sales letter crap. Shaune is undeniably the real deal and I feel honored to be taking part in his coaching program.

I’m gonna come out of this copywriting program as one LEAN, MEAN, SELLING MACHINE.

In The Trenches With The Master of “Indirect Persuasion” Shaune Clarke

Hello friends,

Today is a very special day. In about 6 hours I have the pleasure of embarking on a journey that is going to change the way I write on the internet. For the last 6 weeks I have been buried up to my neck in copywriting material. I’ve been reworking Headlines, Sub-Heads, PS’s, and all types of content on my web pages. All the practice is definitely having a profound effect on my ability to write copy. However what is going to take place tonight is going to put me over the edge. I’ll be taking the Leap of Faith and am letting Mr. Shaune Clarke guide my #2 pencil for a bit.

Shaune is the King of “Indirect Persuasion”. What excites me about taking his Copywriting Course is the fact that he has been immersed into the world of sales for a long time. Besides being just a kick ass copywriter, Shaune is a Master Salesman. However, his style is nothing like a typical sales associate or greasy used car pusher.

Shaune has this keen ability to get inside his prospect’s head. He takes this super-power to a whole new level though. The ability to resonate with prospects so well is a art form with this dude. What he does with this power is much different then most copywriters.

Not only does Shaune dig inside the prospect’s head, but he cleverly uses this talent for “Interviewing” his copywriting clients. The ability to “TELL THE STORY” is heavy with this former Canadian Talk Show Host.

I’m absolutely thrilled to learn a new perspective on copywriting tonight, and every Wednesday after that for the next 10 weeks. It’s going to be a fun, educational, and profitable ride, I can assure you that.

I’ll be giving a update each week on how things are going. So far, things are absolutely SUPERB. I’m already getting copywriting clients, and the coaching program has yet to begin. Shaune can be thanked for that one. He’s been working extremely hard on giving me a early push start. So needless to say, I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Are You Ready For Some Football? Super Bowl Style!!!

Let’s Get Ready To Rumble Sportsfans….

For the first time ever, the Seattle Seahawks have managed to get themselves into the Super Bowl. Living in the Pacific Northwest my entire life, I have to say it’s been a long time coming. I think most of the country forgets all about this wet, damp, and frigged place sometimes.

However I think this is great. The Seahawks are 4 point underdogs because people are so preoccupied with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Not many have been paying attention to the accomplishments that Seattle has put together this year.

Here’s why I believe the Seahawks will not only win, but win by 10 points.

1. Seattle is used to playing on turf, ( undefeated at home) while the Steelers play on grass.

2. Pittsburgh must be able to pass the ball in order to survive this game. Considering their running game has been bombing the last few games, I think Ray Rhodes will completely take away the passing game. Big Ben will not shine like most are hoping for. He’ll probably throw at least 1 pick during the game.

3. Hasselback is a stud. Cmon, the dude is only 30 and totally bald. That’s gotta count for something.

4. Finally if a Seahawk were to battle a Steeler in real life, who would win?

The Seahawk of course. The bird would fly circles around the Steeler and would proceed to shit all over his head, his hard hat, his lunch box, and anything else he felt like dropping a duece on. Then he would swoop down and lash the neck of the disgruntled Steeler leaving him sacked in the end zone.

Seattle Seahawks by 10 points….

Go place your bets kiddies…..

The Biggest Lie Ever Told In Business

Lately I have been witnessing a ton of online newbies talk about what it takes to make a successful online business. That’s simple to answer. It’s nothing more then a strong desire to excel. If you seriously have this one trait, you are well on your way to making some money online.

However, most people don’t really have this desire. What they want is a simple handout.

I just did a podcast that talks about starting from absolute zero. The myth that has been lingering for decades is that “You Need $$$ to make $$$$”. This is the biggest lie ever. It’s absolute hogwash.

This podcast doesn’t reveal any magic formula, or any secret tips. It simply is a motivational rant about how having nothing should never stop you from fulfilling your dreams. In fact, I think that having nothing is one of the greatest ways to start a biz…..

Have a listen if you like…. Click Here for today’s Podcast.
