Time To Shove Your Face Full Of Snickers And Smarties!

Trick or Treat, Gimme Somthing Good To Eat!

Actually I’ll do a bit better then that. I’ll share a little tip on how to get more candy then any trick or treater in your whole neighborhood.

Ever since I was a little grommit growing up I’ve been a hustler. My buddy Darren and I started selling candy out of our backpacks as soon as we hit the 8th grade. Darren’s parents would take him to Costco and he would load up with tons of bulk candy for wholesale prices. Then we pimped out lollipops, candy bars, and gum to kids in the hall for a massive markup.

But the hustling started way before the 8th grade for me. I remember when I was a little kid I couldn’t wait to become a rich adult so I could buy shopping carts full of candy. Seriously, besides riding my BMX, this was my dream… to be the horder of all the candy.

One Halloween when I was probably about 10 years old I decided a pillow case full of candy wasn’t enough. So I got to plotting and scheming up some evil madness and came up with this plan…

Here’s how it goes…

Halloween night is not the Jackpot. It’s the next day.

Wait until the next day and then go to all the houses and give them a sob story about why you couldn’t go trick or treating last night. I think my excuse was that I had to babysit my brother (which was probably true).

Most people have a whole bowl full of candy still left and have no problem dumping the entire contents into your candy sack. This way you can clean house in the neighborhood for all the leftovers that still exists.

The hustler’s mentality was inbedded into me at such a young age. I had knocked on hundreds if not thousands of doors before I ever hit the age of 14. I was selling newspaper subscriptions at age 12, and used beg for soda and beer cans to return for deposit way before that. Heck, at 5 cents a pop, I’d collect cans all day and have a bunch of loot for candy and Excitebike video games.

So, as Halloween comes upon us I started to reflect on my young days as a Candy Hustler and realized that nearly 20 years later I’m not much different at all.

Have fun and be safe this Halloween.

When Groping A Dude’s Ass Is Ok!

Well, the St. Louis Cardinals are now officially the 2006 World Series Champions! I’m not sure how many of you are baseball fans, but I just love sports, especially baseball.

I often here people say…

“I don’t like baseball, it’s too slow”.

Oh yeah? Try betting on 8 simultaneous games and sitting is a sports book casino trying to watch them all at once. I guarantee you that you will not be bored. One minute you will be jumping up and down cuz of a double play, and the next minute your face will be drowning in your Amber Ale as you watch your team lose a 9th inning lead to a Grand Slam home run.

Anyways, the reason for this post is…

1. A congratulations is in order to Tony Larussa and the St. Louis Cardinals for a tough battle fought. No one expected them to last through the playoffs but with warriors like David Eckstein and pitchers like Chris Carpenter they were a tough match for anyone.

2. Celebrations in sports always fascinates me. Every time a World Series, Super Bowl, or NBA Championship occurs I get teary eyed and weep a bit of joyous appreciation for the guys on the team.

Often, jock type guys are thought of as nothing more then meat-heads and steroid filled oafs that are the real MANLY MAN type. However, while these guys epitomize masculinity it always cracks me up when they win a game and grope each other like crazy. Think about it. Most of these dudes would never set foot in a gay bar, or even like to be around gay dudes. But when they win a huge game, these guys are practically gang-raping each other on the field in excitement. It’s much more then just the normal pat on the ass. These guys are literally squeezing and groping each other like never before.

Bodies on top of bodies, hugs, slaps on the ass, they go around like everything is normal. Amidst all the chaos of the celebration, the dudes lose the manly ogre within. They become real humans and express joy like everyone else. It’s not often that you will find men embracing each other in this manner, unless they win a World Series.

Anyways, it’s a joy to watch people celebrate. Even if it’s a team I dislike, I always enjoy watching other people’s excitement when they have accomplished something great. And even though my San Diego Padres didn’t win like I was hoping, I still shed a small little tear for them Red Birds when they clinched the World Series title last night.

The 4 Letter Word That Will Make You Rich, and the Belkin Tune Talk for your iPod!

Ok, Frank may kick me in the nuts for telling you guys this, but I’m gonna actually talk about a dreaded four letter word. No, I’m not going to drop a bunch of “F-Bombs” or anything like that.

Today I’m going to talk about a 4 letter word that really freaks a lot of people out. I know that many of you think I’m just a lazy Underachiever, but in reality I couldn’t possibly of had the type of success I’ve experienced without getting my hands a bit dirty.

While it sounds like a idyllic eden with non stop Mai-Tai’s on the beach in the internet marketing world, the truth is it’s a bit more like a Detroit Ghetto for lot’s of people. Hopefully, if you are part of the latter group, this podcast will help you to get “Moving On Up To The East Side” like George and Weezie Jefferson.

So check this out…

I got this sweet Belkin Tune Talk attachment that plugs right into my video iPod. It’s equipped with a stearo microphone and allows you to record audio right into your iPod. Can somebody say “Easy Product Creation”? This attachment is small, conveinent, and fairly cheap too! Here’s what it looks like.

At first I had no idea if the sound quality would be that good outdoors. However, I think it sounds damn good considering all the outside elements that can effect the sound.

So here we go, the first official… “OCEANCAST” Let me know how you found the sound quality.

Adios,

J-Mo

PS: Just make sure you don’t OVERWORK! See post below :)
