Flock Browser Rules! No Wonder Ed Dales uses it.

I’ve always thought my buddy Ed Dale was a bit loopy when it comes to web2.0 and social media sites. And the rest of my pals who are into social media (Howie Schwartz, Jack Humprhey’s, and host of other dudes) I labeled 2.0 crack-pots (gotta love it when you can fit 2 drugs into one word).

My beef was usually because I didn’t think the effort or time needed to utilize these services was a wise choice of time management. It seemed much easier to just get joint ventures, buy pay per click traffic, or buy other forms of traffic then it was to hustle around all day with social media sites.

Plus, most of the social media traffic doesn’t convert worth a shit in many situations.

However, after messing around with the Flock browser today, I’m convinced it’s perfect for a ADHD guy like myself.

While I bash the social media sites for business traffic, I do screw off alot on Twitter, Myspace, Facebook etc. I mostly just like to chat with cool peeps, and am not concerned about building business or building lists. I just like to laugh alot.

But as I laugh at these web2.0 sites, and dismiss them as childsplay, I’m beginning to see some decent income and great interaction from them. And the cool thing is I really don’t do much of anything but continue on in my normal web viewing habits.

People just find me, then add me as friends without me doing a damn thing. And the lists and members keep growing. It’s really got me curious about what could happen if I started really blogging alot and providing content to the world of web2.0.

Actually I know exactly what would happen…

I’d get a TON OF VIEWERS.

Here’s why…

In the last couple of hours I’ve been screwing around inside this flock browser. And on the left “sidebar” it has little windows that are connected to my Facebook, Gmail, Flickr, Twitter, Yahoo, WordPress, Blogger, and more to come.

Withing a couple of clicks I can have a blog post to my blogger blog, or a Twit to my Twitter page. This post right here is being wrote inside a window in the Flock browser.

The point is, this browser makes posting content to the web super duper fast. So fast in fact that I actually see how damn powerful this web2.0 stuff could be with a plan laid out. And to be honest, you could yield a bunch of traffic with a crappy plan that sucked as long as you just did something a few minutes a day.

In the last hour I’ve made a few Twitter posts, had all my emails checked, edited photo’s in Flickr, loaded a Jack Johnson video to a Blogger blog, made this post right here, and learned a bunch of other stuff inside of Flock.

And I have a feeling I ain’t even touched a fraction of the cool tools in here.

You can aggregate all your RSS feeds you subscribe to, bring Youtube videos into the media browser, and a host of other things I don’t even know about yet. It’s really sick, and a no brainer to see why Ed would want to use this browser with participants of the “30 Day Challenge“.

Just for the record, Ed’s been talking about Flock for a few years now. I tried it out a few times a couple years ago but it didn’t really catch on with me. After uploading the new version though, I’m floored. It makes me actually want to go out and spread a ton of content with people. Heck, it’s downright fun too (which is the most important thing to me).

I have a good feeling that a lot of marketers and social media nuts are going to be making the switch to Flock once they see how easy it can assist your internet browsing habits.

And even though I thought alot of the web2.0 stuff has been hocus pocus marketing with no true proof of results, I can’t deny the few extra thousand bucks it has helped to bring in this month.

Ultimately I realize it’s just about communication and reaching more people through many different mediums. Makes a lot of sense now and I can see serious ways to leverage more of these tools in a larger fashion.

Thanks Flock for making it easy.

If you want to try out the Flock browser, go to http://www.flock.com

And, if you want to learn all kinds of cool things about web2.0 and making money on the internet (even if you’ve never done it in your entire life) then check out Ed Dale’s free 30 day challenge at…

http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com

It doesn’t cost a dime, and there are tons of helpful, friendly, and cool folks to work side by side with. The 30 day challenge is where I got my start on the internet, and is one of the main reasons I’ve had so much success on the net today.

You’ll learn a lot of really cool stuff for nothing, and just may open a ton of new opportunities for yourself.

Peace,

J-Mo

We Blew Up Ustream.tv and Then Blew Up My Liver

Hello folks,

I wanted to personally sit down and write this blog post for a couple reasons.

First, I wanted to apologize if you tuned into my show last night and were not able to watch because of technical difficulties.

With the new technologies of live streaming TV on the internet, it can sometimes be a crapshoot to get it to work perfectly.  Most of the time it seems to work like a champ, but apparently Murphy’s Law crept in last night.

I was pretty bummed about it because besides all the silly shenanigans on my show, I wanted to have a serious session with my pal Justin Brooke and talk to you about our monstrous package we have put together for you.

We tested it all out in the morning and things seemed great.  But once I went live, the connection was shotty, and we had to move the show to another channel.  And that channel doesn’t allow me to bring Justin in as a co-host.

Anyhow, I think it may work for the better anyways.  Justin and I can craft a much better video for you if we just do it on our own without all the distractions of a bunch of live viewers.  We’ll put together that video in the next couple days and get that to you ASAP.

And since many of you missed the content of the show, let me see if I can recap what I wanted to share with you in this email here.

1. Xbox 360  is simply amazing because you can play against people all over the world who are online at the same time.  You can instant message (send email basically) and voice chat with players from all around the world.

What’s even cooler is the ability for Xbox to stream live broadcasts into your game.  For instance when I play Nascar, Xbox has ESPN radio in the background, and they have options to upsell me on other game stuff.

It’s really amazing, and can totally kill your productive time if you don’t watch out.

2. I also was trying to discuss Apple TV, and how RSS content distribution could be the wave of the future.  With Apple TV, you can watch and listen to all your iTunes content, watch videos, buy movies, browse Youtube, and display all your photos stored in iMovie.

Apple TV is a small little hard drive box that stores all this info on here.  And what is really cool is that if you have a podcast and you get subscribers to sign up via iTunes, you can deliver your content right  to their tv.

So imagine how cool it would be to send a customer a Apple TV on their first month subscription and then each month after that they get their new content on their TV, not their computer.

Pretty amazing stuff.

To read more about Apple TV, visit this link…  http://www.apple.com/appletv/

3. I also discussed why I think content sucks much of the time.  Now don’t get me wrong, it’s important to deliver high value content, but the way most people do it makes it nearly impossible
to consume.  No wonder so many people fail at internet marketing.

In order to really penetrate your audience and grasp their attention you need to either be extremely different, insanely resourceful, or super quick.

You can be boring as long as you are super fast and informative.  But if you think someone is going to sit through your 30 minute presentation that is monotonous and boring I’d suggest you rethink the strategy.

People appreciate those that are to the point and pithy.  They will give you a 2nd and 3rd and 4th chance because they know you aren’t there to waste their time.

4. I briefly went over my “Aweber Open Strategy” too.   This is actually really simple and nothing ground breaking, but has really helped me to increase my opt ins and leads.

All I do is keep my Aweber interface open all day and keep an eye on it and watch the leads come in right in front of my eyes.  Usually I only log in to send out a broadcast email and don’t pay much attention to new subscribes or unsubscribes.  I’m too busy paying attention to orders.

However, by leaving my Aweber window open I see each of the opt ins trickle in real time and it gets me curious.  I start saying… “Where did they come from”, and then I am forced to check out my own marketing funnel to see how they got on the list.  I’ll admit, I run the laziest opt in list in the world and I don’t recommend people model my email style.

Yet what I do works like a charm.

But now that I’m leaving my Aweber window open and paying more attention in real time, it’s really helping to me understand where all my leads are coming from, and what I can do to increase it each day.

Like I said, nothing revolutionary, but if I can double my opt ins every day by paying more attention and tweeking my landing pages, I effectively double my business.

So those are a few of the things I discussed on the show, and I know many of you missed it.  Therefore I wanted to apologize and write this to you.

In the next few days Justin and I will lay out our full plan for releasing our ready to go membership program and you can decide if it’s right for you or not.

We are only allowing 10 people from each list so they aren’t going to last long.  And we only want to deal with people who are actually going to use and benefit from this service.  So please don’t be mad if we decline some of you for the opportunity.

The only reason we are doing this is because we want to put this into the hands of the people who will most benefit from it, and avoid wasting anyones time who is looking for the quick pipe dream.

Okay, I’m outta here and heading to L.A. to spend some time with my girlfriend.

Best wishes,

Jason

Come Hang Out With My Surfer Pals Frank Kern & Michael Koenigs

Hey friends, today I have a very important message. And, if you decide to jump on this today, you can come to San Diego and hang out with me and my buddies, take your business to the next level, and help an amazing charity.

Please watch my video below, and then follow the links below the video to get the full scoop. This is why the internet and my pals truly rock. We can do so much stuff together…

Okay, here’s the page to watch the video with Frank & Michael…

http://justlikemychild.org/paidforlife/lesson.php

Visit that page to get some free content from Frank & Mike, see the Secret Headquarters, and find out how you can help out an amazing charity by coming to San Diego.

Also, I’ve included the email that Michael sent out to his list today that gives a bit of info about his wife Vivian’s charity and passion.  See the attached email and video below…

Dear Jason,

http://justlikemychild.com/paidforlife/lesson.html

For years I told myself “once I make more money, I’ll start
contributing…”

For me, it seemed that no matter how much I earned, I didn’t
make the contributions I dreamed I would because I didn’t
think I could make a difference or I didn’t have enough.

Worse yet, I didn’t know of a place I felt I could trust to
contribute to.

Have you ever felt the same way?

18 months ago my wife, Vivian, went to Uganda, Africa.

On her third visit, I traveled with her.

Together, we found a passion for something much bigger than
ourselves.

We learned how the smallest contribution of time and money
made the difference between life and death for hundreds of
women, children and families who were struggling against
incredible odds.

Vivian started the “Just Like My Child” foundation
18 months ago.

She’s experiencing incredible success raising money for
multiple villages in the poorest regions of Uganda by
partnering with ordinary people from all walks of life who
love what she does and want to help and get involved.

The funds she raises have been used for many life-saving
projects desperately needed, including purchase of an
ambulance to save women from dying in childbirth, power
generator for the hospital that was birthing babies in the
dark, education for young girls, insecticide-treated bednets,
malaria treatments, a CD4 cell analyzer for detecting HIV and
much more.

Her cause received so much attention that she was recently
featured in a new movie, “The Moses Code” by the director of
“The Secret”, Drew Heriot.

She’s receiving support and contributions from celebrities
and authors including Bonnie Raitt, Mark Victor Hansen,
Debbie Ford, Cynthia Kersey and the Clinton Foundation.

I truly believe that contribution is our highest calling in
life.

Please allow me to change gears for a moment…

I have something I’d like to share with you:

http://justlikemychild.com/paidforlife/lesson.html

It’s a video my friend Frank Kern and I put together a video
a couple days ago.

We call it “The Paid for Life System”.

Watching this video could help you make lots of money and
change the lives of dozens of families at the same time.

Let me explain how it works – and ties in with the first part
of this message.

This business model currently makes Frank in excess of
$200,000 per month in semi-passive income.

(In case you don’t know who Frank is, many in the Internet
marketing community consider him to be one of the greatest
direct marketers. He’s also a very generous, kind family man
who has masterminded some of the biggest multi-million dollar
product launches to date.)

I uses Frank’s model with several of my own businesses and
quadrupled my income in less than eight months.

Frank’s business model has given me an enormous amount of
freedom and flexibility in my life – contributing,
vacationing and spending more time with the people I care
about most.

Here’s how the business is tied to saving lives:

Frank and I are doing a workshop July 19-20 in San Diego.

It’s called “How To Create And Market Money-Getting Systems
That Pay You Forever”.

I’d like you to join us.

Here’s a small portion of what you’ll learn:

* How to identify the perfect market for a Paid For Life business
* How to find out exactly what they want to buy
* How to find out exactly what they want to keep buying from
you month after month
* How to create your product
* How to advertise and market your business
* How to build a list
* How to convert that list into customers
* How to make sales
* How to convert those customers into repeat monthly buyers
* How to create monthly content
* How to set up a membership site
* How to keep your members happy

Only 100 people can join us and as of now, 54 seats remain.

Attendance is by donation only.

100% of the donations go directly to the foundation.

100% is tax deductible (the foundation is a registered 501c3
organization).

This event is 100% content and teaching.

It is NOT a seminar. It’s a workshop.

Check out the video. It’s entertaining, informal and informative…

http://justlikemychild.com/paidforlife/lesson.html

I’d be honored if you’d join us for two days.

Note: The last 2-day workshop taught by Frank Kern was
the legendary Serializer class, which sold for $10,000.00 per
person …and sold out in 54 minutes.

You’ll not only change your own life, but you’ll directly and
dramatically affect the lives of thousands of women, children
and families who live in abject poverty.

Mike

PS – there’s a video clip on the page from some of our
travels in Uganda. You’ll learn “why Uganda” and more.

PPS – please forward this to anyone you know who might enjoy
the story or the lesson in the video.
