Scored The New Casa! Thanks Ya’ll

So I got the call from the receptionist at the property management company today. “You’re approved”, she said!

Yippppeeee!

I really want to thank everyone who took the time to wish me luck and put good thoughts out into the universe. It meant alot. The house hunting mission has gone on for over 3 months and it was getting a bit tiresome and aggravating.

But considering I seem to move every year at least, it’s really just par for the course. Anyhow, big ups to everyone who Twittered, emailed, and called saying congrats. I do appreciate it. There were tons of twits pouring in when I mentioned the good news. (I’ve included those responses below). I appreciate you all!

I don’t really have any pics except this one I snaked from the Real Estate company…

House hunting in Carlsbad!

So me and my girly have been looking to rent a new house for about 3 months. So far, no luck.

Well, we could of easily scored a place by now but both of us are really picky. I want a beach house, and she wants a new suburban cul-de-sac home in a gated community. I want a pool and spa, and she wants upgraded everything (custom tile, granite counters in the kitchen, Viking appliances, etc).

Finding something that fits both of our descriptions and desires isn’t always the easiest. Combine that with the fact I screwed up my credit as a kid and it’s even tougher.

Anyhow, it’s been a long strange trip. We must have looked at about 25 houses so far. None being perfect. Most, far from perfect. A few were almost just right, but we missed out on them.

My lease runs up here in one month, so it’s time to scale up. I need a new office space, video recording room, a audio area for playing music and a billiard room. Yes, I know, I’m sounding like a little spoiled brat. But hey, this is what’s on my list.

So hopefully we’ll find the right home in the coming days.

Just about an hour ago I sent my assistant Ryan to drop off a application for a beautiful 3700 square foot home near Ponto Beach. There is a really good surf break there (campgrounds), and it’s by a lot of my surfing buddies, and accountant!

This home fits most of our desires. It’s new, has georgeous views of the beach and lagoon, is next to hiking trails we can take the dog to, has community pool, basketball courts, tennis, weight room etc. Also it’s in a upscale gated area.

I really got my fingers crossed on this one. Hopefully I’m able to overcome the credit issues and my financials plus references will serve sufficient to get the lease. I dearly hope so.

Wish me luck. Hopefully I’ll be posting some pictures soon.

Unhappy People Watch Lots More TV – “Oh Really?”

So today I read this Yahoo news story that says… Unhappy People Watch Lots More TV

It reads…

“Unhappy people glue themselves to the television 30 percent more than happy people.

The finding, announced on Thursday, comes from a survey of nearly 30,000 American adults conducted between 1975 and 2006 as part of the General Social Survey.”

Hmmm, I wonder why?

Grey’s Anatomy = constantly surrounded by hospital scenes
Prison Break = Who feels good about prison?
Ghost Whisperer = That just sounds scary!
Gossip Girl = Cuz we all know gossip is usually cheery and happy stuff
CSI = More crime, death, and mystery
Desperate Housewives = I don’t even know what to say.
Lost = People in a plane crash, trapped, and going out of their minds
ER = More blood and guts and negative shit
Criminal Minds = I’m done being a criminal and don’t want to be reminded of it.

Maybe the truth isn’t that unhappy people watch lots more tv, but rather…

“Watching lots of TV makes people unhappy”.

Think about it.

Las Vegas, NFL, and Sobriety

So I’m heading to Vegas tomorrow and I’m still on this Ejuva cleanse. I haven’t drank any alcohol in 15 days, and have been on the cleanse now for 12 days. Once Friday hits I’m only supposed to have one meal a day, and preferably raw/vegan.

The cleanse is actually going awesome. I’m not shitting out 15 yards of rubbery substance, but I probably don’t possess as many toxins as most folks. Who knows, maybe things will change going into week three.

Anyhow, it’s going to be interesting going to Sin City and being on my Sunday School behavior the whole time. It will be especially tough considering everywhere I go in Vegas I either get stuff comped or people are freely buying stuff for me right and left. But I’m stronger then that and will remain tough on the cleanse. The really rough part is the last week with “no food” and to top it off, it occurs during Thanksgiving at Kern’s house while everyone else stuffs their face with Turkey and the fixens.

So, I’ll probably play some poker tournaments while in Vegas, bet on some NBA, and maybe some NFL games. I’ve loved gambling since I was a little kid growing up in a billiard hall. Ah, them were the days.

Last week I had some amazing picks in the NFL. I picked 11 of the 13 games correct, and that includes the point spreads. You can see the picks at….

http://twitter.com/jasonmoffatt/status/997629943

Not too shabby! Here were the picks…

Jax-6.5 Ten-3 NE-3.5 NO+1 Jets-9 Sea+8 GB+2.5 Car-10 SD-14.5 Indy+3.5 NYG+3 Balt-even SF+9.5

The only 2 games I lost were San Diego and New Orleans. If you know anything about football betting you can tell I had a great week with these picks. Hopefully I can carry that momentum with me through the Vegas trip.

I’ll upload my picks for next week as well.

Well, I’m off. Just wanted to brag about my bad ass NFL picks last week and keep up the mojo for Vegas tomorrow.

Adios.

It’s all in the Relationships

This email I sent out today is getting a lot of good feedback, so I figured I’d slap it up on the blog. Take a quick read…

www.ProfitMoffatt.com

Hey Ya'll,

Last week I was interviewed by my friends
Dustin Struckman and Joe Jablonski for a
product called JV Source...

http://jvsource.com/jv.php?10798_A8

In that interview I dropped a BOMB about
how I personally attain lasting relationships
with big time guru's across the globe.

It's nothing like what most people talk about.

For instance, I think going to seminars to talk
about business is pure rubbish.  I think trying
to do deals with all these guru's is foolish.

And constantly worrying about getting a promotion
to one of these guys lists should be your last
thought.

You see, not very many people actually care about
creating true friendships.  Friendships that go
beyond a joint venture mailing.  They are too busy
trying to stuff their pockets with money and not
focusing on the real source of power with joint
ventures.

Truthfully, I'd rather create friends over business
partners.

And this is where so many people get it wrong.

If you find me at a seminar and start talking to me
about your motorcycle business right away, I'll
likely be totally uninterested.

But come talk to me about how you did a back flip on
your motorcycle yesterday and how you'd love to take me
out riding and now you are talking.

Everyone and their mother is getting pitch after pitch
after pitch.  And these pitches are straight fastballs
that are coming in high and tight.

You don't want to over power people when pitching. It
needs to be elegant. It needs to be a lobbed softball
that allows the hitter to slam it out of the park.

But most are not that smooth.

Anyhow, in this interview I did with Dustin and Joe I
was totally in left field talking about things that
most people never associate with business.

Stuff like getting your home life straight before your
business.

Get this...

If your wife or girlfriend isn't happy at home, it's
very doubtful you'll bring much to the table when dealing
with me.

Why?

Because if you can't take care of the most important
things at home, it's very doubtful I'll give two shits
about what your business is. I simply don't care.

I like to deal with kick ass people that know how to really
take care of others.  I enjoy honest, admirable, and
real deal characters that shine outside of business.

When they do that, then I'll maybe care about their business.

But if you can't accomplish the most important elements
of life with yourself and your family, then I have a good
inclination you'll probably not make a good JV partner
with me.

And this is very different from most marketers because most
of them just care about the money.

I'm drastically different.

All I care about is the relationship.

And I want that relationship to be real, non-psuedo, and one
that rewards both parties.

So, I went off the deep end ranting and raving in this
interview about how to really seal the deal with people
in business.

And oddly, it has very little to do about business.

If you'd like to hear that interview, and learn how to
land serious JV parnters, then my friends Dustin and Joe
have set up a members site that will show you all the
ropes.

Plus, you get to hear my unique angle on how I landed
deals with just about every big time guru on the planet.

It's very counter intuitive, a bit self helpish, and
totally puts people on the spot to be a better human
being.

Dustin and Joe go live today at 9 am.

Here is my link...

http://jvsource.com/jv.php?10798_A8

You should check it out.

Take care

Jason Moffatt

PS: Dustin really has something special about the way
he works with people.  I have a cool story in the interview
about how one guy asked me for my phone number and I
instantly told him I didn't give out my number.

2 minutes later I met Dustin for the first time and he got
my number in less than 5 minutes.

Why was he able to get my number while the other dude failed?

Find out in the interview inside of Dustin and Joe's product
at...

Big Blog Changes

You may have noticed a few changes with the blog in the last week or so. First of all, we applied a new theme. Secondly, you may of noticed a shift away from marketing related material on this blog. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now, but this place has always been my home base to keep touch with all my peoples.

And most of those people came to know me, or read this blog because of marketing related stuff. However, today I’m officially taking this blog back.

From now on, this blog will be my personal blog. I will blog about whatever I feel like and won’t be talking too much about business. Most of the business related stuff will be located on http://www.profitmoffatt.com

This blog will now contain cool stuff that enjoy like music, comedy, health related material, and whatever I feel like blasting up at any given moment. It will be a reflection of ME! After all, the site is JasonMofffatt.com.

I’m excited about the changes, and thrilled about the new stuff we are crafting up over at profitmoffatt.com. You’re going to see some serious renovation going on during the next week over there.

You’ll see my Easy Video Sales, Pencil Money, Nichebrowser, My UGC Course, and a host of other things all combined into one area where customers and affiliates can better utilize my products.

And you’ll see a whole lotta fun around here.

Anyhow, just giving you a update to let you know about the changes. I have a feeling it’s going to be a really great thing that allows my creative freedom to soar and not be handcuffed by feeling like I need to blog mostly about marketing stuff.
