3 Groovy Christmas Gift Ideas

Christmas shopping isn’t always the easiest thing to accomplish for many of us. If you are anything like me, you wait until the last minute and find yourself scouring the mall on Christmas Eve with about 50,000 other procrastinators wandering the aisles back and forth wondering what you should buy your loved ones.

Before settling on that lame candle, or some thoughtless gift card here’s 3 ideas that are sure to make the recipients grin from ear to ear.

1. The Kindle Family

The Kindle Family

The Kindle Family

Encouraging others to read and learn is never a bad option. The Kindle is an incredible option for a gift and considering the fact you can grab your hands on one for as low as $79. Right now you can buy someone an awesome electronic gift without breaking the bank!

If you’ve never read on a Kindle before, you are missing out. They are revolutionizing how content is being consumed, and clearing a ton of space on the bookshelves and landfills. The only downfall I see is they are also putting some bookstores out of business, but hey, the times they are a changing.

Reading on a Kindle is easy on the eyes, very convenient and I’ve found that I actually read much more because it seems quicker than reading a tangible book. Maybe it’s because there is often less words on a page and they are spaced out a bit more, so I tend to breeze through the pages.

Anyhow, there are 3 different options of the Kindle. You have….

A. The Kindle: Popular Science says…

“I can’t think of a single other gadget that costs less than $100 that I’d actually recommend,
which makes the new Kindle just about the best Christmas gift out there.” – Popular Science

B. The Kindle Touch: Here’s a few reviews…

“The Kindle Touch felt instantly intuitive to use, and I’m not even someone who’s great with gadgets.
I definitely think EasyReach will make it more comfortable to read in bed, which is important to me.” – EW.com

“The real feature to remember the Kindle Touch by is the new “X-ray” functionality that allows
you to select a page and instantly have a Wikipedia page pop-up with all the info you could ever
want on important words or subjects on any given page.” – Gadgetsteria

X-ray is a godsend when you have put a book down for a while and forget who the players are –
even if the book includes a section for cast of characters, pop-up trumps look-up every time.” – Wired

C. The Kindle Fire: The best Kindle on the market…

“The Kindle Fire is a 7-inch tablet that links seamlessly with Amazon’s impressive collection of
digital music, video, magazine, and book services in one easy-to-use package. It boasts a great
Web browser, and its curated Android app store includes most of the big must-have apps
(such as Netflix, Pandora, and Hulu). The Fire has an ultra-affordable price tag, and the screen
quality is exceptional for the price.” – CNET

2. Give The Gift Of Guitar Lessons

Totally Guitars

Totally Guitars

It seems almost everyone I know has a guitar in their closet collecting dust just begging to be played. For some reason, those guitar lessons purchased years ago never materialized into the dreams of shredding like Eddie Van Halen though. Hey, I’m that same guy. 16 years after picking up a guitar I’m still struggling in learning to strum some new tunes.

However, I’ve been digging into this site called Totally Guitars and it’s such a incredible learning tool. Not only is the teacher Neil Hogan a phenomenal instructor who makes learning guitar easy, the community at Totally Guitars is phenomenal. I’ve never seen a site as interactive and enjoyable as this one.

So, if you have a loved one who you know would like to pick up the guitar again or advance their skills, I can’t think of a cooler gift then getting them access to my favorite guitar lesson site on the internet. No matter what their skill level, Totally Guitars is perfect for all people wanting to progress their guitar skills.

They even have a ton of FREE lessons if you don’t want to fork out the cash for the paid membership. The best deal by far is the Target program which gives you access to everything which includes hundreds and hundreds of lessons. Or you can purchase package deals that allow you to learn from your favorite artists. Or, you can just enjoy the FREE lessons that Neil and the team have put together.

3. Build Someone A Blog With Make WP Easy.

Make WP Easy

Make WP Easy

One of the coolest and most thoughtful gifts I can think of giving someone is building them a website or blog. The easiest way to do this is with WordPress. If you don’t know how to use WordPress, don’t worry. It’s really simple. Even I can use it. In fact, this blog here is on WordPress and it’s a cinch. However, there are a few simple learning curves and my buddy Ori makes it super simple to learn in his training videos in MakeWPEasy!

Stoke a loved one out this holiday season with their own website and blog! They’ll love you forever.

And here’s the best part… once you learn how to use WordPress it can become a stable income stream in multiple ways. You can set up more blogs of your own to promote products, or you can create blogs for others as a freelancer and charge $100 to $1000 or more per custom blog. It’s one of the easiest ways to create some stable income.

So, if you want to learn WordPress and make it easy, I know of nothing better to get you started today than Ori’s www.MakeWPEasy.com

Cheers, Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas or Merry whatever it is you celebrate.

Peace

TuneIn Radio Pro Review

I’ve always been a radio buff. Since I was in my teens I preferred AM talk radio over FM music channels.

I mostly grew up listening to conservative talk radio because that’s what dominated the AM dial. In the late evenings, I’d listen and fall asleep to Coast To Coast AM hosted by Art Bell. His format was bizarre chat ranging from UFO’s to Remote Viewing to Chupacabra’s and more. If it was wacky, it was on Art Bell’s show.

I think I listened to that show for about 6 years. Then one day I saw a picture of Art Bell and I no longer was interested in listening to the show. I know, weird. I wish I never saw his photo. I did the same thing once I saw Tom Leykis. I was over it.

Anyhow, the other day I was chilling in my RV and longed for the AM dial. Art Bell is no longer on the air, but George Noory took over as the resident kook at Coast to Coast AM. So I decided to search for an app on my iPhone that would let me find the channel.

Within minutes of searching I stumbled upon TuneIn Radio Pro.

TuneIn Radio Pro

TuneIn Radio Pro

TuneIn Radio Pro is pretty slick. It only cost .99 cents and with a couple taps of the finger I was listening to Coast To Coast AM. And what a delight because the guest that evening was Jack Canfield, the creator of the Chicken Soup For The Soul Series.

Jack was plugging his new book The Golden Motorcycle Gang, A Story Of Transformation.

The book sounded rad, and it was groovy to hear Jack’s voice upon first using TuneIn Radio Pro.

Right now as I’m typing this I’m listening to some tech show all about the iPhone. It’s actually pretty boring and this kid is just whining. I’d rather listen to some Chaka Khan or something besides this nerd.

And that’s what is cool about TuneIn Radio Pro. The claim is there is 50,000 or more options of what you can listen to. I’m not sure if that number is true, but there’s a hell of a lot of options.

Anyhow, if you’re into various types of radio, I’d definitely add this to your mobile device. They have talk radio, current events, sports, music, politics, spiritual, trucker radio and so much more.

How To Use Subscriptions On Facebook

Facebook is going through some radical changes in the next few days. One of the changes that has been existent for a couple weeks is “Subscriptions”. Not too many people have been talking about it, and many don’t even know it exists.

So, here’s a brief video showing you how to enable your Facebook Subscriptions and how you can subscribe to my channel even if you aren’t a current friend of mine. That way you’ll still get all my updates, and since I leave my profile open to the public you can comment, and converse with my community.

I’m stoked about subscriptions because I have hundreds of amazing people waiting in the cue to be friends, and I can’t approve them without deleting others first. For the last year I’ve been weeding out people like crazy but it’s getting really hard to find people to delete anymore as I consider the majority of my network friends or acquaintances.

If you’d like to subscribe to my updates you can visit my personal profile here…

Why I Left Millions On The Table

Some of my friends think I’m a lunatic for my recent actions. Others that know me a bit closer understand why I make the moves I do.

Good Times At Disneyland!

Good Times At Disneyland!

The truth is, I make the majority of my decisions in life depending on how much fun is likely to result from that action. I’m way more concerned about having a good time than just about anything else. And it shows on my Facebook wall, in my Gratitude Diary, and in my every day life. If a particular task or job does not bring some level of enjoyment to me, I usually quit right away.

Case in point would be a few recent projects I was a part of online. These projects brought in more money in less than 30 days than I had ever experienced making in an entire year. But there was a big problem. I wasn’t having any fun doing it.

Despite the fact that tens of thousands of dollars were rolling in on any given day, I loathed the idea of selling more high priced products that I knew lazy pipe dreamers would never do anything with. It sucked. So I quit, and walked away from millions of nearly guaranteed dollars to instead screw off in Hollywood with my friends.

Was this a smart move? Financially it was borderline moronic. Spiritually, it was the only move I can see myself doing.

The cold hard truth is, I’d rather make $500 a day doing things I thoroughly enjoy over making $5000 a day doing something that brings me no joy. I’m just not very motivated by money. Sure, I do enjoy money and all the things it provides, but it’s not a big driving force in my life. I’m more concerned about things like friendships, playfulness, and new experiences that push me to grow.

Here’s where things get really good…

Even though I’ve forfeited a almost certain chance at making millions upon millions of dollars, I’ve actually made the most profitable decision overall. You see, I’m in this internet game for the long haul. I have a name and a brand to protect. I estimate my brand to be worth an easy $20,000,000 at least. I don’t have financial proof to back up that statement at this point, but in my heart I know my true value and what I bring to the table.

Just because I’ve sacrificed one money making opportunity does not mean there won’t be another right around the corner (trust me, there are more than I can count sitting right in front of my eyes right now). And by sacrificing certain projects and businesses I’ve actually opened the flood gates to a tidal wave of new opportunities.

Sometimes when you let go, you become the recipient of so much more. And this has been my experience way beyond just business.

Even though I had deep sorrows from recently separating from the girl that I loved with all my soul, left a business that was about to make me filthy rich, and dropped all kinds of personal attachments I had been clinging on to, this has been the greatest month of my entire life.

Why?

Because to me there are obvious rights and wrongs in life. And when a particular experience is not bringing out the very best in me, I know it’s time to move on in search of my core self and to find my true path.

So that’s what I’ve done in multiple avenues of my life. And the excitement couldn’t be any higher for me at the moment. I’m so pumped about what the future brings, and am entirely open to the new experiences that will teach me to better serve, connect and engage with others.

There’s one new project in particular that I’m ultra hyped about and I’d like to invite you to join me in exploring the fun and overwhelming profit potential in this field.

I’m talking about making apps for iPhones!

I have a handful of buddies that are making really good money doing what they love… MAKING GAMES and SIMPLE FUN APPS! Well, let me clarify that. They don’t actually make anything. They just come up with the ideas, and outsource others to create the games and apps for them.

Once I saw this model, I flipped out. “I WANT TO DO THAT”… I screamed. And that is exactly what I’ve started to do. The reason I’m so pumped is because this business model is easy, matches my core values, and is super fun! That’s what I’m talking about.

Learn To Make iPhone Apps

Learn To Make iPhone Apps

Right now my team is working on a app that will help raise a ton of money for drug abuse prevention and educate people about the horrendous affects of some toxic substances out there.

It’s truly serving people in a way that makes me feel great. And raises money for charity, and will even put honest and admirable money in my pocket. We’re talking win/win/win/win scenarios here.

Anyhow, I really would love for you to come join me and my buddy Trey Smith on July 5th as we discuss this new business model in further detail. We’ll share with you an opportunity I believe is the wave of the future and has me so excited I don’t even care about the fact I’ve left millions on the table in my last internet venture. This is going to be way more fulfilling.

So here’s the details… (MARK THIS DOWN)

July 5th, 5:00 PST (8:00 East Coast Time)

Sign up for the webinar by going to… http://www.jasonmoffatt.com/apps/

Is It AT&T Or A iPhone Flaw?

For the last 6 months my iPhone has essentially been a $300 paperweight. If I were to factor in the amount of lost calls and missed opportunities the monthly monetary damage would be in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Despite the fact I could only use my iPhone for phone calls about 30% of the time in my La Jolla home, I stuck with it. I’m a addicted Apple fan boy just like so many others out there. I had a land line telephone for the sole purpose to call people back when the iPhone dropped the call. I didn’t even know my own home phone number because I never received calls on it. I left the ringer off for most of the 6 months.

Ghetto iPhone

Piss Off iPhone

Now to be fair, I’m not sure if the blame should be cast at AT&T or at the developers of the iPhone itself. Blogger Cory Watilo had an interesting opinion in his blog post Why The Verizon iPhone Won’t Be Better Than The AT&T iPHone. He concludes that it’s not the network and a flaw in the design of the iPhone. He comes to this conclusion by noticing that AT&T users who have different phones don’t experience the woes that iPhone users do. Therefore it’s probably not the network, but the phone itself.

Cory has a interesting hypothesis. I’m not sure what the truth is, but I do know that it’s damn frustrating to pay $300 for a phone, $116 a month for service and still the damn thing doesn’t work most of the time.

Despite the fact that my phone wouldn’t work even when I lived in one of the most affluent communities in the United States, I still didn’t cancel. Two days ago I moved to West Hollywood and had my fingers crossed that maybe, just maybe, once again I’d be able to reliably use my phone.

Well, I have good news and bad news.

The phone actually seems to work okay. Yay! The bad part is my internet connection via the 3G network is dog shit. It’s atrocious. If it’s not one thing it’s another. My favorite app is Maps, but it’s almost worthless in my new home. Accessing Facebook works about half the time, and when it does work it’s slower than molasses. Damn you AT&T. Or is it damn you iPhone? I’m not sure.

I was speaking with a rep from Verizon last night while canceling my Mifi card and told him of my phone troubles. He gave me some inside info and said I may want to hold off for about 5 days before I make any decision on getting a new phone. He couldn’t tell me what the big news was, but encouraged me to be patient.

Considering I waited around for 6 months like an idiot paying my bill for shotty service, I’m sure I can wait another 5 days to see what other options may exist.

So, are you a iPhone user? How has your experience been? I’d love to know in the comments below. Hopefully you’ve had better luck than I.

How To Find Free Images

I’ve had a ton of people ask me how to find free images on the internet. In my Truth Serum members area we have a list of hundreds of sites that you can find find images. However, many of the sites require you to pay a fee to use the images.

In this video, I show you how to use Google Images to find pics that you can use for your websites. Keep in mind that you still need to follow the copyright wishes of the owners, so make sure to pay attention. However, many of the owners are chill and don’t mind you using their images, even for commercial use.

Cheers,

Jason

Register Your About.Me Page

Yesterday I signed up for a About.me page.

About.me aggregates a lot of your social media profiles so people can find your stuff all in one place. Many people seem to use it as a resume of sorts. I have a feeling this site is going to get very popular in the near future so I wanted to point it out to you so you could reserve your name before someone else swipes it.

Also, I think you should register your name and brand at all the other social media sites as well. It may not seem like the most important thing for you to be doing right now, but trust me. Spend a few moments to make sure you register your names and brands. You’ll thank me later.

In this quick video below, I show my About.me page and offer a couple tips when signing up…

How To Delete Applications From Facebook

While watching the St. Louis Rams getting their asses pounded against the Kansas City Chiefs this morning I was dicking around on Facebook. What’s new?

I saw my buddy Rob Burns sign up for a Facebook application that claimed you could claim youremail@Facebook.com. At first I thought it was a scam, but seeing that Rob had already went through with the process I figured it was legit. Not wanting to miss out on a sweet vanity email, I too clicked the link on the app and gave it permission to post to my wall and access my Facebook information.

BAD MOVE.

The name of the app was receivegoodnews, or Good news you’ll get your own email on Facebook.

Whatever you do, don’t fall for it. It’s a CPA or affiliate marketing scam that will redirect you to some gaming site. The video below shows the application in question and will also show you how to delete any unwanted applications from your Facebook account. You may want to follow along in this 2 minute video even if you haven’t recently allowed access to any apps, because a few may have slipped by you in the past.

I hope this helps, and feel free to share with anyone you think may have been subjected to app spam on Facebook.

Cheers,

Jason

PS: I’m really confused why Facebook would even allow these type of apps? Any ideas?
