I’d have to go with Beaches or Titanic.

My wife and I have a pact. She doesn’t watch the Lord of the Rings movies and I don’t watch Titanic. So far it’s worked out pretty well.

I thought love actually was pretty funny but then again I’m a Brit. I actually thought the bit jay hated was a piss take out of the British thinking the Americans love their accent, when I was in the states everyone keep asking me what part of Australia I was from! My most hated girlie film, which I am subjected to on a regular basis is “hairspray”. Aaaargh

Man, I totally dig Love Actually. I watched it with my sister back when it first came out and thought it was going to suck, but it was really cool.

Aside from the cheesy story you mentioned with the guy going to Wisconsin, the stories for the most part are really good.

As for the worst Chick Flick I have ever seen, my vote would go for one of the Matthew McConaughey Chick Flicks such as “How to Lose A Guy In 10 Days” or “Fool’s Gold” or “Failure to Launch”

Dude! My wife made me watch Love Actually on Saturday. I thought it was pretty good for a chick flick. Also it’s funny how that kids dad kept talking to him about sex like it was no big deal.

As a female, I have to say the worst “male” movie I`ve had to sit through (over and over and over again) is Braveheart. Now, I`m a fan of Mel Gibson, but I can only take so much “FREEDOM!” and kilts.

You think Love Actually is way off base with its view of Americans? I think it was a tongue-in-cheek (typical British) way of poking fun at the way the Brits are usually portrayed in American films. You know, like “Three Men and a Little Lady” where we all talk with posh accents, wear tweed, and drive around in minis!

Of course, saying that, I don’t think it was a particularly good film. Like you say – a couple of good stories. I’m not a big fan of “chick” flicks myself. They usually have to be a bit clever or have a twist to keep me interested.

I prefer to watch a good action movie, thriller or sci-fi. The films that totally leave me cold are (and I am going to be hated for this) stupid comedies with obvious humour and lots of fart jokes! Anything like National Lampoons, Caddyshack etc. And I know people LOVE those films, but I just can’t find them funny.
