First sleep in the new digs

By Jason Moffatt

December 4, 2008

So I just awoke about 2 hours ago after the first sleep in the new digs. Peering out my balcony of the master bedroom is quite a serene thing. Seeing the glassy waves at Ponto beach and only 4 surfers in the water is one damn pretty view. I really think I’m gonna dig this place.

The neighborhood is quite, the views spectacular, and the house feels very peaceful. We had looked at a few other homes in this sub division and they didn’t feel nearly as warm as this one. I’m really pumped.

So, for one last day I have the place to myself as a bachelor pad. Tomorrow, Kami moves all her stuff down from L.A. Then, it’s operation “Grown Up Secrets” and “Leave It To Beaver Land”. (She keeps me on my toes let’s say, which is a good thing)

Last night I took my assistant out to dinner at Benihana, which is just up the road. It’s a cool joint where the chef’s do all kinds of twirly maneuvers with their knives and spatula’s as they grill up your food right in front of you and a table of spectators. It was actually the first time in my life I think I willingly ordered some sushi rolls. It was so-so. The Sappora 22 ounce, now that was heaven.

The entire move only took 5 hours, and $350 from some killer dudes on Craigslist. Hiring movers is probably some of the best money ever spent. No back aches today 🙂

Then, once we arrived the cable guy showed up perfectly on time and got all my cable boxes dialed in, and most importantly… we had internet up and rolling before 4 o’clock. We were back in business in no time!

I can’t wait to get the office unpacked, set up a new desk arrangement, and get back into the swing so we can unveil the new stuff at profitmoffatt.com. We are almost there.

Anyhow, I’m still laying in bed and enjoying the breath-taking views. It’s probably time to get up and tackle my tasks for the day. I’ve been neglecting the blog the last week or so, but gonna try to make a conscious effort to heat it up! Maybe I’ll run some sort of contest. Oh yeah, and I got a twitter video to film. Maybe I’ll do that today too.

Peace

  1. Hey Mo, nice to hear you’re in the new digs. Looks like you’ll be boarding even more with a’la Kern with access to great waves right across the way.

I’m not much into internet marketing unfortunately. My job is to help Blues Musicians in Canada and the US through my blog for free writing articles, and hiring a blues writer once in a while. I hope to start helping California Blues artists because the LA and SanDiego blues scene is pretty damn good.

Maybe I’ll come down and meet you someday and talk Surfing,
Music and Nutrition. No blatant pitching involved.

Take Care Mo, and I look forward to your next post.

    Much Peace in your life,

    Mark

  2. Hey J, really great to hear your running commentary as you’re stepping up your life to the next level… it’s way better than hearing the stories of where they used to be and now here’s where they are… makes it seem more achieveable if it’s actually happening to someone as you watch.

enjoy the new pad, you totally deserve it.

    all the best,

    Tony.

  3. Hey man. Congrats on the sweet new pad. I’m about to move myself. I’m going with movers this time. Last time I was sore for 2 freakin weeks. Anyway, keep up the good work man. I look forward to seeing whats next.

  4. Jason skinny boy – I wanna give you some schtick. When you doing one of those lie in bed and stay up all night videos again.

PS: this time can you include the girlfriend.

PPS: you can just go to sleep we’ll all talk to her.

  5. My husband and I used to hang out at the Raintree. That’s what Benihana was before it was cool. I’m jealous of your new digs. Being close enough to drive there in fifteen minutes is nice. Walking there is better, I bet…
