Tony Robbins Breakthrough

Tony Robbins has had a tremendous amount of impact on my life and many of my successful friends. In fact, I’m not sure I know of anybody on the planet that has helped more people to achieve their ideals and dreams than Tony has. I love the dude and would do anything for him.

My personal story about how Tony helped change my life is a lengthy one. Today’s blog post isn’t so much about me but about Tony’s new show called Breakthrough that is debuting on NBC tonight at 8PM.

I really think you should give the show a view, or tell a friend to watch if you know somebody who may be down and out right now. Tony has this magical ability to help transform anyone who needs that extra boost to get through troublesome times. Below is a quick trailer to his show Breakthrough.

How have I not heard about this yet?

I guess I’m not watching enough TV :) Tony is awesome, thanks for the heads-up, I’ll be tuning in for sure.

He’s a great speaker and story teller, and has a way of motivating and inspiring people unlike anyone else I’ve ever seen.

    Looking forward to it!

Hey Jason… do you know if this will be available after the fact, like on line or DVD? I’m actually one of those few, yet amazingly cool, people who don’t have cable (with the exception of internet).

    Thanks for the heads up.

      Hey Jim,

I saw that it will be available on Hulu.com. You’ll probably just have to wait a few days after the original airing.

Just curious… Was he ever not on top since he has become who he is?

        Steve,

Like everyone else Tony has his ups and downs. He too is human and subject to err at times as well.

JMO- Your heading down a path of serving mankind (vs. self) and it had been really cool to watch over the last few years (even tough we have never met)…. Best, Brian-

Thanks Brian. I made a pack with god about 12 years ago that I have to serve or I’m screwed. Trying my best.

Watching that video stirred up little twinges of hate for self, utter despair, and feelings of failure. The memory of those days of depression haven’t haunted me for awhile. It was a good reminder of how one’s life is truly in their own hands.
Most often people need somebody or some thing to point them in the right direction and open their eyes to possibility.
    This show will be great!

Deb, I’ve never personally felt those type of feelings and can’t really imagine doing so. Thanks for sharing, and yes I think the show will be great and help a lot of people in need.

Awesome, this rocks! His book “Awaken The Giant Within” really set my life on a new path almost 10 years ago. Look forward to watching the show on Hulu.

I have read a lot of other reviews on “Breakthrough” (NY Times; Wall Street Journal; Variety) and there seems to be a theme to them. Much of the reviewers copy focused on Tony and not the show itself. And the focus on Tony was as a self-serving mega millionaire. There was a thread of disdain even as the reviewers posited that for Tony it was more about helping himself when he was helping others than truly helping others. In some cases, the copy even sunk to the level of describing Tony’s looks as freakish and menacing. I was surprised by all the hatred. Whether you think Tony’s methods are overly simplistic and no matter the money you think he nakes, what drives the bashing and hatred is outside of Tony. At the core of “Breakthrough” is an attempt to change the minds of legitamitely struggling people….while on TV….while making money (possibly large amounts) doing it. And how is that something to look down on?

GMan, there is always haters. Not much you can do about that. They are sad people.
