Dan Kennedy’s No BS Time Management For Entrepreneurs
So I was on a really good streak blogging for almost 60 days in a row. Then I let a week slip by.
Truth is, I’ve been busy. Busy prioritizing the things that really need to get done in my life and business. Many of you know that I’m a scatterbrain on multiple levels. I have way too many projects going on at once, I don’t put the highest priority on work related issues and my choices on daily activities often waste a bunch of time and money.
However, I’m working on it. In fact, I just got done reading Dan Kennedy’s “No BS Time Management For Entrepreneurs on my iPad.
If you have a iPad make sure you download the Amazon Kindle app. It’s amazing. And for some reason it enables me to read really fast. I read the entire No BS Time Management For Entrepreneurs book in 3 sittings. I’ve found that I can read super fast and retain information very early in the morning. So when I wake up, I spend about 30 minutes perusing through the iPad and reading information that will motivate me for the day ahead.
Anyhow, Dan’s book was a great read and has been getting me inspired to be more productive with my days. The first thing I need to do after finishing the book is to eliminate projects that are boggling me down. I have a hard time saying no to people at times and I easily get caught up in helping too many people. This token of generosity on my part rips my own business to shreds at times. I put off tasks that need to be done in my own business by paying attention to others way to often.
I enjoy helping others, but I truly need to focus on getting my own stuff done first. So I’m canceling a bunch of products that are essentially dead weight to me. I’m also forced to put off some things that are very exciting to me. However, when weighed against the things I really need to get done, they too are holding me back from the life I truly desire.
If you are business minded or have a entrepreneur type mindset then I can’t recommend Dan Kennedy’s materials enough. His wisdom is beyond insightful, his experience more vast than 5 of the modern day marketing gurus combined and his hard back books are ridiculously cheap on Amazon. You can pick up the hard copy, or get one for your Kindle, iPhone or iPad by clicking the image below.
Cheers,
Jason
