I heard about this burglar who was breaking into a house one night. As he was stealing the stereo he heard a voice that said “Jesus is watching you”.
He froze in his tracks, shined his flashlight into the corner of the room and he saw a parrot. He said… “Did you say that to me”?
The parrot said “Yes, I’m just trying to warn you”.
The burglar said “Warn me, what are you talking about? Who are you”?
The parrot said…. “My name is Moses”.
The burglar laughed and said… “What kind of crazy people would name a parrot Moses”?
The parrot said “The same kind of people that would name a 150 pound Rottweiler Jesus”!
– (Joke I heard from Joel Osteen)
Hi Jason, I know we haven’t always seen things the same way, but I have always admired and respected you. This Osteen joke reminds me of something I saw the other day, just when I needed it.
I’m not a Christian, don’t attend church or watch it on TV but I was surfing one night when I really felt down and this Osteen broadcast caught my eye. I ended up watching it all.
It was entitled, “Yes is in Your Future.” It really got me pumped up and inspired and a few days later, I landed a freakin’ whale of a client. One that could literally be worth millions to me, certainly hundreds of thousands over the next year.
Anyway, Christian or not, it’s a great message. Here it is on youtube:

Yeah man, I know what you mean. Joel has a smoothing and calming way to be able to preach without seeming too preachy. Congrats on the client and thanks for the share.
What sermon did he preach after this joke?
